Mr. King, I would like to bring to your attention my recent experience with your company. I was cruising the Internet, looking for something neat to spend my hard-earned money on for my 1997 Triumph T509 Speed Triple. I ran across your website as instantly fell in love. I also, have an underseat exhaust kit that you have on your Daytona in the pictures. I saw the tail section air duct assembly and decided that I couldn't live without them. I ordered through PayPal and they arrived about 5 days later. So, ignoring that I was supposed to go shopping with my wife, ran out to the garage and started following the instructions. The directions were easy and clear and it was easily installed with no difficulty in about 4 beers span of time. So, I'm guessing about 30 minutes or so. :) Looked great. Was VERY impressed with the quality of these products and the ease of installation. The following month I signed up for Track Day through our local Triumph dealership, D&D Import Cycles in Norfolk, VA. I was so excited for track day. I got my leathers and the rest of my gear, but this would be my first track day, let alone my first track day on my Speed Triple. I saw the aftermath of someone that went down on his speed triple and noticed all of the engine and frame damage on his. I decided that if I was going to be tempting fate at 120mph at the track, I'd better be prepared. I was trying to get everything bought/rented and the checkbook only goes so far, I forgot to order the frame and tail sliders from you. I emailed in a panic that I needed them in less than 4 days. The next email I received was telling me to just use PayPal again (and again, was simple) and you'd work on it. The next morning I received another email with my tracking number for my package and saw that you had shipped it at 8:30 at night on your day off. If that's not customer dedication, I don't know what you'd call it then. Received them the very next day. Still had to install them and had 2 days to do it in. Those took about 30 minutes total for all of the frame and tail sliders to install. Again, instructions were simple and clear. No confusion. Track day arrived and I was having a ball, right upto the point that lowsided at about 60mph or so. I was flogging it in a hard right hand turn and learned the lesson from scraping too much peg and lost traction on the rear tire. My loving Speed Triple turned on me in a heartbeat, snapping down HARD on her right side. I slid about 35-40 feet across the track until I reached the grass shoulder. I stood up, only to find my trusty steed on her side. After it was all said and done and got out of the ambulance and got my bike out of the track's crash cart, I found that if I had a front brake handle, I could have kept racing the rest of the day, if it hadn't been for the broken right foot I received from the crash. As you can see from the pictures, your frame and tail sliders performed FLAWLESSLY. There is not a single scratch on my bodywork, frame, radiator, and oil cooler. I can't believe my bike is as lucky as it was. One of the track's instructors was riding behind me and said that the bike did a complete 360-degree spin across the pavement before she came to a rest. The instructor noted later how smart I was for installing the sliders. I estimated that the $105 +S&H saved me approximately $3000 (at least) in damage. I thank you for being as dedicated to our sport as you are. If it hadn't been for your customer dedication and superb products, I may have been out of a speed triple that I have loved for years, and, thanks to your products, will have many years to come. Thank you and I am looking forward to doing future business with your company. Oh, by the way, I need to order the right side sliders for my bike. I've got 4-5 weeks before I get this damn cast off. HA! Be careful out there! Sincerely, |
